PHILIPS SCORES A SLAM DUNK WITH HEARTMODEL ANATOMICALLY INTELLIGENT ULTRASOUND TECHNOLOGY
Philips is making strides in ultrasound technology with the introduction of their Anatomically Intelligent Ultrasound (AIUS) tool for cardiac ultrasound, the Philips HeartModel A.I. It offers powerful quantification and high quality 3D views which allow imaging studies to be reproduced with ease. What makes this ultrasound technology intelligent?
Anatomical Intelligence emerges out of a massive digital library of anatomical structure models of the heart. With the help of adaptive systems, Philips HeartModel A.I. can perform lightning fast calculations of the left ventricle and atrium with stunning 3D models. The models change according to the individual patient’s characteristics. As a cardiac ultrasound tool, it takes out operator dependency by offering repeatable results. Not only that, Philips boasts a 3 to 6 time increase in speed of quantification over traditional 2D exams.
“Health systems are constantly looking for solutions to provide the most efficient and effective way to an accurate diagnosis,” said Ivan Salgo, MD, senior medical director, Cardiovascular Ultrasound, Philips. “At Philips, we’re driving innovation in the cardiology space to help clinicians make decisions early, fast and confidently. By combining AIUS with the power of HeartModel A.I., we’re using automatic quantification and intelligence and our renowned image quality to bring more diagnostic confidence to cardiac procedures and to create more reproducible results.”
Philips HeartModel A.I. is the fastest ultrasound technology for cardiac ultrasound available in the Philips line of systems. It will be available on the EPIQ 7, which in itself is a powerhouse. Having a machine with a suite of tools that can show high quality reproducible results will improve healthcare on the whole.
